New: a Radar panel. Radar can now live right on your dashboard as its own panel — a snapshot of the current precipitation around your station, refreshed every few minutes, sitting alongside your other panels. No more opening the full-screen view just to glance at what’s coming.
Add it from Settings → Display
Tap the Radar panel to open the full-screen radar exactly as before — animation, zoom, source switching and the lightning layer all still there
The panel automatically uses your HD (Xweather) radar when you’ve connected it, and the standard radar otherwise — always your best available source, with no extra setup
The Barometer panel now shows the 24-hour pressure change, sitting between the day’s low and high. At a glance you can see whether pressure is higher or lower than it was this time yesterday — a fall of 10 mb or more across a day is a classic sign of an approaching storm, and it now reads right alongside the 3-hour trend rate
The day’s low and high keep their timestamps, so you can still see exactly when pressure peaked and bottomed out
The 24-hour figure appears once Halcyon has a full day of readings for your station, and holds its last good value through brief reconnections rather than blanking out

Fixed: the Astronomy panel could show night, complete with a countdown to sunrise, while the sun was still well up. The day/night switch was keyed to the UTC date rather than your own local day, so the further your station sits from Greenwich the longer it got things wrong — a quarter of an hour after dusk on the US east coast, but several hours of broad daylight in Hawaii, Alaska, French Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand. The sunrise and sunset times on the panel were being read from the wrong day too. Everything now follows your station’s local day
Fixed: the Astronomy panel no longer needs a reload after your phone or tablet has been asleep. Day, night and the countdown are worked out from the current moment rather than a snapshot that could be a day old — previously a device that slept through midnight could show night all the following morning, or count down thirty hours to a sunrise only six hours away
Fixed: the Longest day and Shortest day markers could appear a day early for stations far from Greenwich, and now land on your local solstice
The Barometer gauge now zooms to your day’s own pressure range instead of using one fixed 940-1070 scale. On a typical day the needle used to move less than five degrees from dawn to dusk — barely perceptible, even through a real change. It now sweeps a meaningful arc, and widens automatically when a storm pushes pressure further, so the movement always reflects what is actually happening
The dial keeps a sensible minimum width, so a very settled day can’t zoom in so far that ordinary sensor flicker looks like drama, and your daily high and low stay comfortably inside the arc rather than pinned to the ends
Gauge colours still track real pressure rather than the zoom level: a settled 1030 mb day reads warm, an unsettled low reads cooler, and the end labels show the exact range on display
Fixed: the temperature trend was colour-coded backwards — it turned cyan as the temperature climbed and red as it fell. Warming now reads warm orange and cooling reads cool cyan, matching what those colours mean everywhere else in Halcyon, including the barometer’s own trend
The Wind panel now shows a direction beside each average speed: the bearing over the last minute next to the sustained wind, and today’s average bearing next to the daily average. The big compass still tracks the live wind gust by gust — these two are the settled picture that goes with the numbers they sit beside
Directions are averaged as compass bearings rather than plain numbers, so a wind blowing either side of due north now averages to north instead of south, and calm spells are left out of the average because still air has no direction. On a day the wind has swung right around, today’s bearing reads VAR rather than inventing a direction nobody could stand behind
Fixed: the daily average wind speed stopped updating after the page loaded, so a dashboard left running all day showed the average only up to the moment it was opened. It now keeps pace through the day
New: Halcyon can now read an Ecowitt gateway or console alongside your Tempest. Add your Ecowitt Application and API keys under Settings → Connection, pick the device, and Halcyon will pull its readings in. Your Tempest stays the primary weather source throughout — nothing about your dashboard changes unless you connect one. Any model that reports to ecowitt.net will do
If your Ecowitt reports indoor temperature and humidity, they appear on the Temperature panel, tucked onto the bottom line beside the feels-like description rather than taking space from anything already there
The Rainfall panel’s Raw / RainCheck button gains a third position, Gauge, when an Ecowitt with a tipping-bucket gauge is connected. Selecting it points the whole panel at your physical gauge — the rate and every accumulation. Because Ecowitt reports weekly rather than daily-before-last totals, the second cell shows Week in place of Yesterday
In Gauge mode a line under the rate shows today’s rainfall as each sensor measured it, side by side: Tempest against gauge. The Tempest figure is always its raw total, even if you normally view RainCheck-corrected rain — measuring a tipping bucket against a corrected number would tell you about the correction rather than about your haptic/tipper sensor, which is the whole reason for having a second gauge
This is the first step in a wider EcoWitt full integration.
Fixed: the Astronomy panel’s moon times went stale the moment they passed. Once the moon had set, the panel carried on showing that same moonset instead of moving on to the next moonrise. The moon row now lists every horizon crossing of your local day in order and dims each one as it happens, and when the day’s crossings are all behind you it shows the next one coming, with its weekday when that falls on another day.
Fixed: moon rise and set were read from the UTC day rather than your own. The further your station sits from Greenwich the worse that got, to the point where the panel could show you a moonrise and a moonset belonging to two different nights, presented side by side as though they were a pair. The moon now follows your local day, as sunrise and sunset already did.
Fixed: a day with more than two moon crossings quietly lost one. The almanac Halcyon was asking reports at most one rise and one set per day — fine for most of the year, wrong on the days the moon crosses three times, which starts happening around 62°N. Halcyon now works out every crossing itself.
Fixed: days when the moon never rises at all, or never sets — better than one day in five at high latitude — showed two empty fields and no explanation. They now say which it is, and when the moon next crosses.
New: the moon travels its own arc across the Astronomy panel, alongside the sun. Left to right is your day, midnight to midnight, so where a body sits across the panel is simply the time of day. An arc comes down to the horizon line where the moon genuinely rises or sets, and runs off the edge of the panel when that trip carries on past midnight — which is why you will often see two arcs at once: one finishing this morning, one starting tonight. They are separate trips a day apart, and the whole picture drifts about fifty minutes later each day. The help dots explain it on the panel itself.
The sun’s arc now appears only while the sun is up, and spans just the hours of daylight, so it visibly narrows through the winter and widens again through the summer.

Share links now open with the weather already on screen. A guest could previously sit in front of an empty dashboard for up to a minute waiting for the station’s first live report to arrive; current conditions are now fetched the moment the page connects. Opening your own dashboard is quicker for the same reason.
Shared dashboards now hold up when a link gets passed around. Every viewer of the same share link is served from a single connection to WeatherFlow rather than one apiece, with forecast and history requests cached between them, so a hundred people opening your link costs your station roughly what one person did. Guests are never sent your WeatherFlow token.
