One of my units (sky/air) has developed an intermittent wind/solar problem. (firmware rev 43) Each time I reboot the sky unit the wind and solar operated for about 12 hours. I would love to be able to :- 1 Remotely reboot the unit 2 Strip the unit down in order to see if it just need a clean of circuit etc. I think over the years there were some threads with this information but am yet to find them. Has anyone a link to such or helpful advice on how to Cheers ---

Sorry… 1. You cannot. You can ask wf support to do so for you however 2. one thread is [https://community.tempest.earth/t/failing-sky-investigation-discussion/7034/3](https://community.tempest.earth/t/failing-sky-investigation-discussion/7034/3) if that helps any I searched here for “remote reboot” to find the old threads for the first item and a google search for “weatherflow sky tear down” to find the second item. ---

Big question is how to proceed to open the top part I don’t want to just smash it yet, in case something repairable i… The red arrow pointing towards the cap in the last picture…you can see the join between the cap and the center housing with the ultrasonic sensors has some gaps. There is a rubber seal in that join to be careful of when you insert a thin stanly knife style device to prize the lid slightly wider to disengage 4 little ridges which normally hold it in place. But when doing that be careful not to let the two parts seperate very far as there is a ribbon cable joining both components which can break if stretched. While I have disassembled a Sky I have never repaired one. But sometimes a failed sky given a rest inside for a few months next time I try it comes back to life. Cheers Ian 🙂 ---
