Yes, that should be the case
@tcichowicz and @Glbltvlr, I am trying to recreate the issue you are seeing with the mouse cursor and touch, but I don’t see the same behaviour as you.
I have my Pi4 hooked up to the touchscreen with a USB wireless mouse and keyboard attached. If I run the console with Cursor = 1 in the .ini file, then as I touch the screen and move my finger around, the cursor on screen follows my finger. If I touch any of the buttons, they work as expected. If I run with Cursor = 0, the on screen cursor disappears and the touch works normally. Are you not seeing the same? If you have Cursor = 1 in the .ini, does the on screen cursor not follow your touches?
I don’t know what to say … Everything is working as it was before. I switched Cursor = 1 in the .ini file back and as you say working as hoped. Tested Cursor = 0 mouse pointer disappeared, no mouse effect, and the only keyboard key that did anything was the ‘esc’ which returned to Rpi desktop.
Returned it to Cursor = 1 - it now works perfectly??? I swear this is NOT what was happening before.
But as always GREAT Job!
Hi
Love the Pi display but I have a small request I hope
I come form an Air Traffic background in the UK (since retired) and wind directions are always three digits
Would it be possible to have three digits displayed all the time for the direction or is there an easy edit in a particular file
Many thanks
Graham
I am following this thread.
Since the last update my cursor will not select items on the touch screen in wfpiconsole. the mouse still works, the cursor moves, but I can not operate any controls in wfpiconsole.
Rob
I’m wondering whether it is possible that toggling the cursor off and on again is required to fix this. Can you stop any instance of the console that is running and then edit the .ini file so that Cursor = 0. Restart the console and confirm that the touchscreen is working as expected. Stop the console, edit the .ini file so that Cursor = 1 and restart again. Does the mouse and touch now behave as described above? The cursor should follow your touch input and you should be able to press on the buttons to select them.
PS. I assume you are running a Pi4 and the 7 inch touchscreen?
Yes - Pi4 & the Pi 7" touch screen. Will try to get to it this afternoon, and let you know the result.
Rob
This is a fairly easy change. You just need to modify line 300 in lib/observationFormat.py to read:
cObs[ii - 1] = '{:03.0f}'.format(cObs[ii - 1])
I will have a look into making this a user adjustable setting
Hi Peter
Thats great thanks -Ive changed the file after just updating to the latest version and its working perfectly
Would be great if it was configurable too
Regards
Graham
With “Cursor=1”
I have the cursor on screen in the console & can only operate controls via mouse (I have an old wired mouse)
Touch screen moves the cursor but tapping the screen on a button has no effect.
With “Cursor=0”
I have no visible cursor in the console, but can use the touch screen to operate buttons.
The cursor is visible & operates normally outside of the console screen.
I am guessing the Cursor line in the ini changed from 0 to 1 during the upgrade.
Rob
Well, the update is not working for me:

Sorry about this! I fixed one bug in the lightning panel and then went and introduced another one. There will be a new release with this fixed by the end of today/tomorrow.
Aight, please let me/us know then, untill then i turned off the raspberry for now.
I wish I had checked here before I updated. Crashing for me too. Will wait for update.
Thanks.
Fixed indeed! Works again ![]()
Yes, same thing happened to me. A quick vi edit of wfpiconsole.ini fixed it. Thanks for the clue to the issue.
Tom
I am noticing a discrepancy between what the year rain total shown on the Rainfall panel is showing compared to what my Tempest history page shows. Today, the Rainfall panel on WF PiConsole shows Year of 6.99" and my Tempest history page shows Year rain as 1.77". Quite a difference. Is WF PiConsole showing me the past 12 months as “Year?” My Tempest page is: Tempest
What do you see in your history if you turn off NC rain … https://help.weatherflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024436634 ?
Yes, that was the difference. When I turn off NC, the year total matches the WF PiConsole value for year. I tend to trust the NC value more than what the raw data my Tempest reports. I need to find what the local airport has for yearly total.
