Keep in mind that many (most?) radar products don’t actually update that quickly. For example, my local radar (KOKX) is currently operating in clear air mode and updating every 7 minutes, although that website is showing an “update” ever 2 minutes. As you may know, the update time can very and it’s usually faster (with less resolution) when in storm modes.
