I finally focussed a bit and mounted my Tempest… after years of sloppy and too low positioning. This is about 4 feet above a 7 foot wall. Reasonably far from other trees and houses… though not perfect. I used a strip of wood attached with concrete screws to a cinderblock wall, metal straps and old bike inner tube material for a secure yet slightly flexible pole mount and an eleven foot, 1-1/4" diameter wooden dowel. In the spring the cinderblock wall will be covered in ivy. It should look nice and not too distracting.
Very nice install! That will look nice as you said when Ivy grows in. It will take away from viewing your ingenuity on the install thou! Kudos!!!
