Ive had my Tempest for years but only now am seeing this problem. Regardless of sunny days the battery will no longer charge. It notices increases in UV radiation so I assume solar charging is possible.
Does this mean my battery has lost ability to charge? How do I replace it?
Thanks for any insight.

Call or write to customer service and have them do a remote diagnostic check. They’ll be able to assess the battery and offer a solution(s)

This is also my problem … it’s dropped to Eco mode, even though it’s been really sunny for the last few weeks.
I suggest opening a support ticket ASAP with the link at the top of every forum page, before the battery goes dead and they can’t troubleshoot it…

I did write to them and they responded quickly. They concluded it is a hardware issue: either battery failing to charge or solar panels failing to provide power (eg. failing or dust covering them).
They offered me to upgrade to the latest at 50% off. I opted for this. I’ve had this unit for nearly 4 years so it is probably about time anyhow.
