Not sure if the highs/lows are working now as it has gotten cloudy and the temps have dropped a bit. Will report later when I can see if they are working.

Something I noticed:

Capture

See that small yellow lightning bolt? That indicates the the power supply to the RPi is not providing enough power.

Yeah, it flashes once in awhile. It’s a 2A supply I got when I bought the kit

With the display you need at least 2.5A.

I’m looking into the high/low issue. If I find anything I’ll let you know.

Sun came out again. High/low not updating.

If have to check the PS to see exactly what it is. I would guess it would be the proper one since I bought it all as a kit but who knows.

Open a terminal window and run

node dailystats

I CDed to archivesw, ran node dailystats

Paused for a few seconds and went back to the prompt

Oh, I ssh in and ran it from there.

Good. What does the DailyStats.log show.

The only way I was able to get rid of the lightning bolt on my RPi 3B+ with display was to install a PiJuice HAT. It didn’t matter what power supply I used, even the official one. I think the backup battery on the PiJuice fills in the momentary sags. BTW, when I checked the current draw with a USB meter it never even touched 2A. It was always below that point so I don’t understand what is going on. Input voltage dipped no lower than 4.98V and was usually 5.02V.

More good news. It seems the database does not have any errors. I still can’t explain why the low and high values are not updating.

Ah… if something’s going to be a mystery it’s going to happen to me!

cache refreshing the browser ???

Not sure what happened. Left to go out to dinner. Got home a couple hours later and it now appears that it is updating properly. The counters on the batteries are incrementing and the high temperature for the day is correct.

It looks like the highs/lows updated around 1am and haven’t updated since.

Refresh the page on the display. You can do this by viewing the page on any device.

It appears that made it refresh. Must be a sticky cache issue then?
