For your next project do a ePaper equivalent that is under maybe 2cm thick and I bet you’d have some customers for folks looking for a display, but it’s going to be hard to beat the price of the hardware for @peter’s wfpiconsole. It would be pretty cool looking for sure.
Yep, they’re not cheap. It takes hours to make a gauge. I never intended this to be a mass production solution. There are tons and tons of electronic weather displays on the market (search weather display pi). I intended this to be unique and I know it won’t appeal to everyone. I do enjoy making them and enjoy the reaction when someone sees one first hand.
