Dedicated Display Console

A dedication station is a good idea, especially for visitors, indoor temperature and humidity.
External temperature and humidity.
Warning of rain, strong wind, uv etc.
Have the app for the full information review.

For me the dedicated display is only good with a guest only access mode. I don’t want someone walking up to the display and end up messing up the system.

Could you please tell me how to find my access code for Btstwx?
I have my number. Tempest
Thank you

For you, your Access Code would be SWS19441
However, the btstWx app is currently down and will not be providing data for the next few days.

I have a cheap 7inch weather display on my wall. It connects to a remote sensor. It displays everything important minus wind. It doesn’t have to be super expensive.

Try now… Should be working.

Thank you so much!!! It’s awesome. I’ve ordered an android tablet to run it on!
Your the best

Can’t find you app on Google play store.
Searched with btstWx many weather apps come up but don’t see yours. Sorry new to Android
Easy on  lol

Oh…it’s there but only paid version now.

Would gladly pay. What’s the search name?

Try this btstwx.

Google play store right?
Btstwx search returns tempest first than many others but not btstWx
Thanks
Any other suggestions?

Are there any restrictions on what Android devices this app can be downloaded onto via the Google Play store? I’ve encountered other Android apps (mostly with tablets) where they do not show up in the store for some reason…

The developer said for some reason it isn’t there he’s checking w Google

There is a lot of code out there already, there are a couple of integrations. I use homeassistant at the core of my home automation and it has a weatherflow plugin that pulls all the data locally off the cloud, or an alternative that grabs the UDP flows. Myself and my wife (who is a hydrologist) can manipulate the data to our hearts content in review as well as creating bespoke specialised displays for major events on the fly using the influxdb and grafana integrations to manipulate data from many different public and private sources, including the local station.

That doesn’t even touch on the ability to manage the house environmental and lighting systems, all using triggers from the environmental monitoring systems. Moderate code level required but if you can follow a youtube video it’s pretty low effort.

If I were to purchase the CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 Extreme Kit - 128GB Edition (4GB RAM) will this unit work with 4GB RAM or should I get 6GB RAM

No need to spend the money for 6GB for piconsole.

That kit is a total ripoff. At a $165ish price it’s at least 75 bucks overpriced, maybe more. A 4GB pi is $55, SD is 10, power is 10, case is 15. That adds up to 90 $US before the ‘you cannot buy one easily still’ overpricing into needless kits.

Pre-covid, that pricing may have been possible. Post-covid, not so much.

“connects to a remote sensor” What weather display do you have that connects to the Tempest as a sensor?
