Google Assistant Integration with App Actions is working

I don’t know if this was silently added or if I just missed the memo, but Tempest is now working with Google’s App Actions that replaced the Conversation Actions platform. “Ok Google, Show me the weather using Tempest” now launches the Tempest app on your phone and shows you a weather tile with your current temperature, sky conditions, and forecast.

Unfortunately, since you can’t install apps on the Google Home devices, this doesn’t work with them, but at least it’s a step forward with what Google allows.

I just tried this on mine. . .and it worked after about a 3-year absence! Nice to hear it say: " It’s 38 degrees and mostly sunny there. Today it will be partly cloudy with a forecasted high of 41 and a low of 27. "

I used to say: “OK Google, ask Tempest for the latest weather.” If I use that statement. . . the Google response is: “sorry I don’t have any information on that right now.” I have to use the exact vernacular: Show me the weather using Tempest in order for it to respond properly.
