It would be very beneficial for the Tempest weather station to have the capability to trigger an Alexa routine. I have an Alexa routine that heats exposed pipes so they don’t freeze, but there is not a viable way to trigger the routine. Echo devices only keep temperatures for indoor ranges and there is no real way to integrate triggering the routine with an outdoor thermometer.
Does IFTTT help any ?
Just confirming IFTTT definitely works with Tempest. I use it with Philips Hue to turn a living room light blue when Tempest detects rain. In fact it works too well. It drives my wife crazy 
that’s why I haven’t disabled it.
