As a footnote, I would not even attempt to solder the through-hole microUSB with my lifetime spool of medium-diameter solder. Those holes/pins are just too small! I wound up buying a spool of 0.020" diameter Kester 63/37 solder just for that one last connector, and regret not buying it earlier because my boards would have been a whole lot neater if I used it on everything but the big RF connectors…

I have several different spools of Kester. I started when I was 10 years old and by the time I attended the two week military soldering school I aced it with a perfect score. I can’t imagine the number of HeathKits I assembled or the number of ARC radios I repaired for my father and his friends.
Those were the days I didn’t a bright light and magnification.
