Went to install my new weather station and the Power booster cover does not seem to be attached to the base. Would this be a manufacture defect or am I missing something?
Manufacturing defect! There are 4 little holes in the mount on the left side of your image in which the top portion on the right of your image much screw into to make it secure. First guess is that the 4 screws might not’ve been in place from the factory. . .thus the top portion has separated. . . but was not designed to do that.
Suggest opening a ticket (mouse over SUPPORT in top right section of this page, then click on “Open a ticket” and reference (include) the image you posted above (or the “highlighted” one if you prefer). This will most likely warrant a Replacement Power Booster item.
Thanks - I will put in a support ticket
Hi Mark,
Thanks for reaching out. It seems like the screws are not there for the Power Booster Accessory which is why it’s not staying attached to the base. The Power Booster Accessory uses M3 x 10mm Phillips head self-threading screws. These should be available at local hardware store and you will be able to screw these in. Let me know if you still face any issues.
Kind Regards,

Tempest Support
Went to my local Lowes and Home Depot and they do not carry metric screws. I have asked Tempest support to send me 4 so I can put my weather station into operation.
ACE Hardware usually has a great assortment of oddball screw and bolt sizes…
