Hi,
Just recently as of yesterday the rain display panel in my windows 11 piconcole is not showing any data. However, it shows on the app with no problem. Any ideas? I turned off NearCast , rebooted Piconsole and still nothing. Any help is appreciated. Thank you…Paul
Can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing as well as your station ID?
Hi Peter, Thank for your rapid response. My station ID is 65599. I woke up this morning and it actually recorded rain 0.32". I am not sure if something was corrected already? I’m baffled at the moment I also attached a picture from yesterday when there was no dsta showing. Please advise if you need more info.
This looks like an API issue as the PiConsole can only show the data that is returned by the WF servers. Let me know if it happens again - otherwise let us assume it is a one off glitch
Thank you Peter. Yesterday it recorded 0.33" of rain, however it did not retain that under “yesterday’s rainfall” as you can see in the screenshot.
OK, please can you PM me your wfpiconsole.ini
file. I can take a further look
Of course. I have to attend to a work issue first. I will follow-up within 30 minutes via PM.
It does sound like there is an API issue, so this might correct itself eventually
Thanks for posting this.
Hi, I’ve had the exact same problem since last week, if I understand correctly, is the problem with WeatherFlow?
Greetings from Germany
Yes, there is currently a bug in the API that means None
is returned for the rainfall fields. Once this bug is fixed, everything should return to normal
Thanks for the info in this post
Does anyone else still have this error?
I still have this problem, at least when I checked it yesterday night.
I contacted Weatherflow Support and they told me that their IT people are working on it.
Today when I’m back home from work I will check it again.
Try rebooting it and see if that works. . Idid that and it reappeared.
It’s good to know they’re already working on the fault. Today, Thursday, it’s still the same.
Just rebooted my PiConsole, but still no rainfall values in the display.
Are you seeing these warnings in the terminal:
[WARNING] [rainRate ] 2025-06-26 09:05:56 - minute_rain is None
[WARNING] [rain_accum ] 2025-06-26 09:05:56 - minute_rain and daily_rain are None
If so, these are related to the bug in the WF API and we just have to wait for their IT folks to fix the issue
It’s been ten days since my station reported any rainfall or rain rate data—still waiting on their API fix!
In wfpiconsole.log I indeed see these Warnings.
