Woke up this morning and it seems as though the temperature sensor has failed on the tempest. All other metrics are reporting fine. Has anyone seen something like this before?
Known issue …Rh will or should be also failing.
Hope this is fixed in the new 26 model.
They don’t offer the components to replace them, ones self. Leaving them about as useful as a fart in the wind.
Of course, yes. Open a support ticket with WF.
Yup I opened a ticket and following some troubleshooting, the support team acknowledged a failed temp / Rh sensor. Since my unit is well outside of the warranty period, they offered a 50% discount on a new kit so I just placed the order this morning. They also confirmed they can load all my years of weather history once I’m up and running with the new system.
Customer support is pretty good about dealing with failed sensors. I have an old Tempest that had a failed Temp/RH sensor. Rather than replace the entire station, I decided to try and replace just the sensor. I bought a Temp/RH sensor (SHT-31) and a 4-pin FFT cable adapter and installed it into the Tempest using a new grommet that i 3D printed. The Tempest now seems to be working great.

geez did they find that thing buried in a landslide ? Wow !!!
