Tempest Stations map modifications

The Tempest Stations map currently displays a purple pin for every Tempestº station and doesn’t provide any real value - other than station location.

Please provide a way for users to set a color ramp to station characteristics like Temperature, Rainfall, Humidity, UV, etc so that the color corresponds with increasing or decreasing values across the map. Similar to the attached Windy.com or Wunderground.com methods.

With the number of Tempest stations out there, the value of the current Tempest Stations map is limited. Adding such a feature would provide greater insights into local and regional data.

It would also be a big help if there was a way to find Tempest stations by ZIPcode (for example) … as the map is now, most areas are a mass of Tempest icons & zooming in is difficult because you can not see what state you are looking at … other parts of the world with fewer Tempest stations are still fairly easy to locate a specific Tempest station.

Very interesting you bringing this up as TempestOne WebOps has this feature along with others for $1K plus a month. It would be nice if they could do this without the expensive lightning data including in that price.

Another Windy fan here. Thinking along the same lines…

Currently to see the weather info of any individual Tempest, you have to click on it. This opens a side panel and you have to click off it to return to the map. I’d like to suggest a pop-up when you hover over a Tempest location. It doesn’t need to be a full info panel; show basic info such as temp, wind, and rain. No clicks, just hover and see the info panel.

Maps Overlay Types should be expanded to have a choice that shows both the Tempest stations and Radar/Precipitation, but with live Tempest data.

When there’s a storm in the area I like to be able to check out other stations to see if they have rain or how much they’ve accumulated. Same for wind speeds/gusts. It helps to know how strong a storm might be. Would be great to even have a filter layer similar to Windy.com for rain that can show active rain areas based on Tempest data. Tempest stations could change colors as the OP suggested for rain accumulation (or add a little raindrop icon for active rain on the Tempest location).

Would be cool to have a map like below but with the Tempest locations layered in. Could have different layers showing wind speed and lightning strikes.
