Says 15mph gusting to 30 and you could light a candle. Is my tempest finished?

My Tempest is recording gusts over 50 mph while it is relatively calm. No debris or insects on unit. Only happens when temperature reaches low 90’s. Above that, wind speeds and gusts are excessive - no additional instruments needed to tell it is way out of calibration above 90F. I’m not seeing any company support or response to complaints. A $385 device failing in 6 months. Wondering is a class action lawsuit may be necessary to get Tempest’s attention?
