This amazed me to the point of not believing it.
I had a 9 hour period overnight that was absolute-dead-steenkin’-calm as measured by two different weather stations. Red is a Tempest at 11’ elevation, Blue is a VP2 at 18’ elevation about 50 feet north of the Tempest.
Like zeroes. The Tempest recorded a few fractions-of-a-fraction of a mph wisp a few times, but it was suuuuuuuuper calm. In 20+ years of having stations here this is a new one for sure.
