Request a measurement by the Tempest and a display of the number of hours of sunlight, please. This would be extremely useful for monitoring the effectiveness of solar panels on a building.
there isn’t a clear algorithm yet that determines when the sun is shining. But it would be nice to have for sure.
I’m not sure how this relates to solar panels, as those also operate with diffuse light (even though direct sun lights is much much better)
What the tempest already delivers is Solar irradiation, in W/m2 which might be more useful when comparing to solar panels. Keep in mind the most solar panels aren’t mounted horizontally, so there will be a difference depending on time of day, and time of year (different sun orientations)
