Home Assistant weatherflow cloud stopped working

Hi,

For some reason my weatherflow cloud integration in home assistant stopped working.
" Failed setup, will retry: ‘precip’ "
I don’t see anything useful in the logging.

KeyError: ‘precip’
2025-06-22 19:18:02.891 DEBUG (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.weatherflow_cloud] Finished fetching weatherflow_cloud data in 1.028 seconds (success: False)

Local (UDP) integrations working fine.

Please help.

I have done one of the Cloud integrations that are available, and it seems that the following fields are no longer available when using the REST API:

  • precip
  • precip_accum_local_day

I cannot find any mention of why that happened, but this is most likely the reason all of them fail

Maybe I’m going blind in my old age, but I do not see either of those fields listed in the REST API docs linked at the top of every forum page.

My $0.02 on the HA-provided WeatherFlow integrations is that the third-party one in HACS (WeatherFlow Forecast) is the best option for getting cloud data into HA:

https://github.com/briis/weatherflow_forecast

I’m using the above, and have no issues with it after doing the HA 2025.6.1 update and reboot yesterday afternoon.

An interesting thing that I just noticed when looking at the fields in the Developer tools section of HA is that this integration has both the raw and checked precipitation data as separate fields so you can pick which one you like…

Interesting - the PiConsole has been falling over as well sporadically with relation to rain, and this might be the issue.

These fields have never been documented, but that have existed in the API response for many years

Hi everyone there is a known API issue related to our most recent API release. There will be a fix soon.

Is this also impacting the rainfall fields in the Tempest websocket packets? For some stations I am currently seeing None in all the rainfall fields returned by the websocket

Thank you for the update. It would be awesome if you guys had a status dashboard or API changelog… or even a spot on this forum where you officially posted stuff like this.
