OK, question for the day:
How many Weather Flow Tempest stations are installed? I can see them all over the map, and curious how many are installed.
I’m sure some out there that know.
Thanks

As of today 11986 active stations worldwide. And no don’t ask a breakdown pro region, I can’t do that:-)
Are all 11986 TEMPEST, or are some of those SWS?
–Sam
active stations means all SKY/AIR and Tempest versions
wow, that’s a lot! but hopefully soon even a lot more
several thousands more to come … soon.
I’m looking for a ballpark-accurate count of the number of Air+Sky and Tempest stations currently out there in the field, if that’s something anybody has handy. The map is close to readable now so there have to be a ‘lot’ out there but how many would be cool to know.
Thanks.
Around 12,000…
yes, I was looking for a Tempest vs. Air+Sky split too
@eric curious what that number is today?
Since WF-T had two public stock offerings since the last thread update and now has to adhere to SEC regulations, I think that the only official answer you will receive from WF or its employees is from last month’s investors’ update:
“We were thrilled to see the Tempest Network surpass 80,000 stations sold…”
Many stations may NOT make their data public, hence they are not visible on the global map of installations.
. . .AND. . .there are also a couple of Hundred stations that were part of the Original SWS (SmartWeatherStation) and Tempest° stations that are no longer “on the air.” I know of at least half-a-dozen or so that still have a serial number listed for their original Hub (HB-0000#####) and their Original SWS (SK-0000#####) or Tempest° device (ST-000#####) that no longer send data. Those may have long since been submitted for Recyling OR thrown in the closet / attic or basement somewhere! I have 4 such Tempest° (ST) devices that are no longer worthy of being operational. . .and are just “props” in my basement Tempest° Museum!
