We have just completed Hurricane ISAAIS. We have just moved to the upslope region of the Southwest mountains in Brevard. We are renting as we build.
Here’s the information that has me scratching my head. (Yes, I do realize that in the upslope region of the Carolinas rainfall amounts can vary)
I’ve checked nearby stations. All are around 6+ inches. Mine is only showing 3.91. I have turned off “Show NC rain” to validate.
The tempest is in a ‘open’ space. The large tree is 15 feet away. It is mounted on PVC that is reasonably taught.
Wind measurements seem to be inline with other stations nearby.
If needed, I will move the Tempest and put a steel pole just to confirm but has anyone in the area noticed that much difference in totals?
