I went to hobby lobby and for $6 i put the air unit in the bird house. Drilled holes and put screen over hole so birds can’t get. I have to say much more accurate temperature since this. Also this resolves the issue with relative humidity staying too high at 99% when the air dries. Keep unit dry and plenty of ventilation, 5-6 feet above the ground and have the unit face north.

lovely solution, why not hang a real bird house next to it ??? Except if the cats are near

yup - I built one out of scraps but this one is nicer looking. Spray paint it white outside with gloss paint so it rejects the rain and reflects the sun…
