Public Link to my Station Stopped Working

I have already sent a message to Tempest from the support page, but I wanted to see if other owners were having issues sharing their public data. I used the public link to created a shortcut to my station page on my parents’ phones, it has been working fine for 3 years. Within the past week the link no longer goes to my station, but instead pulls up a map with a location marker for my station. Clicking on the location marker sends them to a different station about 120 miles away from my station. Clicking on “Weather” or “History” from the top menu bar gives them an error message saying something along the lines of “This is the owner’s page. You must sign in as the owner.” I verified my station has public data sharing turned on, and I’m using the share link generated by that page. I know Tempest Home has sharing limits, but I’ve only given the link to my parents and they haven’t shared it, could someone have picked me at random to do a denial of service attack against my public station page?

Yes my station and a few others I check are also not working.

Hey,
I have the same issue , it seems that they applied some changes on the server during this weekend.

From android app my pws is reporting data from the generic location - equivalent with those estimated values like other weather apps when you are choosing a location not a pws.

Will see maybe they will fix this starting by tomorrow.
I’ve also noticed tempest support team.

A neighbor I shared my station’s public info with mentioned it stopped working for them yesterday. I checked an not only is my station’s public info missing, but so is the info for random stations I tried locally and across the US. Came here and found out why. Thanks.

It looks like a pretty substantial site-wide outage. I am not getting data from my station, nor any station that i click on the map. :roll_eyes:

Thanks for the heads up. I checked and mine is working too.

They have a bug (an old one)

If something is changing let’s say the pressure and then if you are in the details tab and after you will switch back to the main screen the info is not refreshed.

I have to reopen the app to have them in sync :slight_smile:

Public access seems to be working again for our neighbors also as of today 3/31/25
