I have installed my Tempest weather station at the southernmost point of the Pacific coast of Oaxaca in Mexico. Not long ago, we were hit by a big hurricane, and people could only speculate on how strong it was. The government said it was a Category 2, probably to downplay it and avoid sending too much help. In reality, it must have been a Category 3 or even 4, considering the destruction it caused. There are no other weather stations in the area, so mine will be very helpful from now on.
Additionally, everyone in town is always discussing whether this year had more or less rain than the previous year, but no one has real data to compare it with. I am very pleased with my Tempest weather station, which I mounted on my concrete roof with an extra piece of hardware to keep it stable in the harshest winds we may experience in this changing climate.
