My original roof mount was on the chimney, on a nice rigid wooden dowel, but too low down due to proximity to our Starlink antenna, so to not create an obstruction (home Internet Priority). The windspeed is being obstructed in the direction of the spark arrestor, But more importantly, the radiation from the nearby dark roof shingles and from the dark solar panels always gives much higher temperature readings than actual (+10-deg)!
So I broke down and got the nice Tempest universal 45° angle, eaves mount pole, which will enable positioning the tempest weather station out from over the roof and heat radiating dark roof shingles and solar panels. We will see if this is more Accurate now. Stay tunned…
