Tempest Registering Rain and Heavy Rain -Dry as a Bone Outside

This is my second Tempest unit, after my first unit stopped communicating with the base. This unit has worked flawlessly until recently. Today it has rained briefly with some good sized wind gusts. The unit has never falsed rain in the past that I am aware of. Right now it is fairly clear with wind at 10 MPH, and the unit is reporting heavy rain.

Any recommendations on how to correct or pull any diagnostic data?
