Two weeks away from my Tempest 5th birthday and sensor failure

It’s with a heavy heart but today my quickstarter Tempest gave up the ghost. Sensor failure. It’s still UDP broadcasting on my network but no observation data. Support was quick to validate the steps I took resuscitate the unit did not resolve the issue and was able to order a replacement unit.

I will be cleaning up the unit since it has never been down from the pole for almost 5 years and be adding the unit to my museum of dead technology.

I. . .as well. . . have a Tempest° Museum that contains: an original WF-SWS (SmartWeatherStation) that has a WF-SKY01; 2x WF-AIR01 and 5x WF-TWD01 (Tempest°) devices…including my Original Tempest° Field Test device from January 2020. All devices are no longer functional.

Very Cool! I have never seen the Storm Glass before that is very unique.

That typo reminds me of a great Kelly Bundy scene from Married With Children:

“There is a . . . Strom . . . coming to Chic-ago!” Chicago! “Oh, is a Strom coming to us? What’s a Strom?” Storm! “Winds are up to 30mup.” It’s miles per hour you idiot! “Hey, I’m not an idiot. . .I happen to be a metertholologist!”

I just happen to have a “Storm Glass Barometer” and a “Galileo Thermometer”. They make nice supplements to my “Basement Weather Center Tempest° Museum.”
