I’ve noticed some strangenesses with the current temperature displayed in the first tab of the app/website, but yesterday it was wrong by 20 degrees or more.
It was reading 57F yesterday morning and suddenly jumped to 78F when a nearby standard thermometer was reading 60F. When I looked at the history tab, the top reading was 58F.
This behavior continued all day, with the displayed temperature way above the actual station temperature. I thought it might be due to displaying a nearcast temperature rather than the actual station temperature, so I looked for a way to change that but that doesn’t seem to be an option.
The highest reading that the app/website gave was 105F even though the station high for the day was 99.3F.
Both the iPadOS app and the website exhibited the same behavior.
The status has been fine, with no service interruptions for months.
I have found a workaround, which is switching the view on the first tab from the default (global? forecast?) view to the station detail view and back again. The temperature is current and correct on the station detail view, and when I change it back to the forecast view, that view also starts tracking the station temperature again.
