I assume this doesn’t support the afield Test Tempest units yet? App just crashes when I try to run it on my station I’d (iOS testing it on iPhone XR)

Not 100% sure. But will test against my Tempest unit.

Should work OK, no matter whether it’s a Tempest or SWS. But will post back and let you know.

My station is is 15617 of you want to test it out

Looks like your station is set to Private. It has to be public for my app to work.

Is there something else than this?

I get the same result, app just crashes. I then have to manually terminate the app before it will work again. Android 10 and pro version of the app.

Working on a solution.
Right now, it’s because the Tempest is identified as an “ST” device in the data packets, and I was just looking for “AR”, 'HB", and “SK”.

This will require an App update to fix.

Anyone have the new Tempest API, websocket specific?

Compiling a list of user-requested features to add to btstWx & PRO.

Anyone have anything they have NOT already asked about?

Show the list of stations already saved in the app when it has crashed and then has to be restarted. For example, when I tried to enter a Tempest station the app crashes. I have to terminate it and then on reload I have to manually enter a station to get it to the point where I can select another station. It would be nice to be able to “select a station” on this screen. If you want screen shots I can get them for you.

BTW, this is the same screen presented the very first time the app is launched.

Agreed… and noted
Will push that as well

Been way too long… but the btstWx app has been updated for iOS and Android.
New features include a new ‘Digital Landscape’ layout… more to make the usable as a console.
RainCheck option in settings for the new layout.
NWS Airport info on same screen.
A few under-the-hood changes to help stabilize the app.

More updates coming soon!
–Enjoy!

Any chance the user will be able to specify which device on a station to use? I used to have two SKYs on one station and now I have two Tempests on a station. I’d like to specify which one to get the data from.

Adding that to my feature list.
I will push to make that and option in the next release.

Maybe add in an option to show all devices “side-by-side” in a list as well…
Thanks!

I’m still showing 3.7.1 on iOS. Any update on Tempest Compatibility coming?

Yes. Will be submitting an update to both stores by the weekend.
