Hello Everybody,

I just got my Tempest station up and running (station 117356). I’m an American who prefers Metric and set my app units to metric. It appears that others are also seeing my station in Metric. I’m also seeing other nearby stations in Imperial on via the map.

Most Americans prefer Imperial and I prefer seeing other stations in Metric. I had expected the units setting to be for my personal display, not the station display.

Am I missing something or is the units setting for how everyone sees the station? If so, that doesn’t make sense. I can choose a preference on other weather websites that just affects my view, not other peoples’ views.

that’s indeed one of the things that needs changing (and was suggested a long time ago). You want to see other people’s station with your preferred units, not what they prefer. I leads to hard to read maps.
