There I think my foggy mind finally got revisions right. so does this mean that you are using the numbers off of my other 2 stations is there a learning curve how the heck does it work !
I’m on v98… showing .06 inches of rain since 0140. Been asleep so haven’t been able to monitor when the rain actually started etc…

If your Davis data is available online we can use it to help calibrate your SKY.
Not yet. Firmware v94 added an improved calibration curve for rain but we still have not applied any individual calibration settings produced by the CL process, which is still being tested internally. That is, all SKY units currently have the same calibration settings and the overall accuracy is much improved over previous firmware versions but it will get even better when the next phase of the rain calibration process rolls out.
I lost .04 of a inch when it went to light rainfall compared to tipping bucket do you have my other stations 1 Is on WU and the other would be on acurite My Station ID 4784 The atlas Is located at KINVINCE3 both! units are side by side and I also have a 5-1 limping along mounted on same pole as Sky and Air

Yes, that’s pretty extreme, and demonstrates why factory calibration alone is not enough. There’s a large variation in sensor signal due to the specific installation of your SKY (pole material, pole length, things attached to pole, structure to which pole is mounted, etc).
Is there a particular station near you that you consider accurate/reliable? If so, and the data is online, we can use that to help calibrate your SKY.
The pole is rather free and I had no rain except when I mount it on top or dismount unfortunally the is some groundwork in the area that drills (this will be ended this weekend) but yesterday there was no working on that place.

Thanks for the link; we’ll try to use data from that station to help calibrate your SKY. Also… while looking at your configuration we uncovered a bug in the calibration system that was affecting all SKY units installed in the last few weeks - yours among them! This bug would result in a roughly 5x over-reporting of rain accumulation. So, you should expect to see your SKY data improve next time you get rain. Keep the feedback coming!
Thank you i can give you also an api that pushes the expected rainrate from gps coordinates for the upcoming 2 hours this api can predict rainfall from special rainradars so it would be possible to see the expected rain almost in my garden. I post it tommorow its late now. This api does only work for locations in The Netherlands.

the value in the first column can 0 to 255 to calculate the expected rainrate the formule is ,
Rainrate = 10^((givenvalue-109)/32)
so if the value is by example 77 the rainrate is 0.1 mm/h the second column gives the time (range now to next 2 hours in UTC+1 = our local time)
Data are updated every 5 minutes I think I’ve to write a nice php page for this with a graph

update - it ‘is’ pretty cool seeing your yearly summary data on the CoCoRaHS site.

I updated my no-rain days with zeroes through their site, which has a nice web interface for catching up on stuff like that. Great community weather site !

Yours was one of those (like @spacesnow) affected by the “5x rain” bug, which has now been corrected. But we are still working out how best to present calibration changes and other outputs of the CL process to users. For now, there are NO individual calibrations on any SKY units - they all have the exact same calibration settings.

So I should be able to swap my two SKY units and see the difference in rain measurements stay with the mount and not follow the SKY unit? Will this affect anything WF is doing with the data right now if I make the temporary swap?
