My Syy has been going offline more and more often in the last few weeks and yesterday I went up on my roof to see what’s going on with the unit as wind, solar radiation and sometimes rain do not show up when there should be data points. When I took the SKY unit off the solar charger, everything seemed fine, the unit was a little dirty (to be expected). The solar panels also looked very clean on the solar unit, but when I took it off the pole, water ran out of the unit. It had been at least a day without some rain. I’m not sure if the solar charger has any internal damage but the last update on weather data was an hour ago and it’s been really sunny out today, so I have to assume there’s some damage.
I think I’m going to go back to batteries for the device.
