Does the Tempest Hub uses a directional antenna or a omni-directional antenna?

It is omnidirectional however, like most consumer electronics there is always one position that will preform better.

This is what the Sky looks like inside. The antenna is the black coil which in this instance is at a slight angle up the South side of the Sky. I guess the Tempest might be similar.

I have one with all the plastic removed.

I have wondered about doing that to stop the water beading problem. And even removing the vertical sides to the haptic sensor cap so it only measures vertical rain to improve accuracy. Do you use yours with all the plastic removed? Or is it a piece of technological art?

It was a first run beta so it was pretty useless after testing ended. So I dissected it like a road-kill ftog.
