dont know best ask and contact weatherflow staff thats the predictable response these days  when … by the way it was tesco i never had the crap of working in a store stacking shelves, long cues at the checkout putting up with customers whingeing in my ear all day as far i was concerned they earnt every dime, penny they got , me i just sat there watching the matrix go up the screen allday , most unproductive job i ever had couldnt wait to leave . calculators didnt even exist in my education how i ended up chasing data all day long still baffles me today… anyway what does horsemeat taste like i understood it was illegal in the uk… guess some dodgy supplier from abroad did a backdoor deal…

Thanks, but its hosted local only no url.
On a side note, wasn’t the WF hub going to provide data locally?
Might have to ask that in another thread.

I couldn’t possibly comment…

REQUEST to make things easier when you have some issues .

1.please always provide a url , if it is private and you dont wish to share for whatever reasons then PM the url with password to the setup screen, you can change this anytime .i dont keep a record or any statistics .

2.local servers these are nigh on impossible to diagnose has there hidden unless you create a public view.

3.we all live in different timezones your daytime could be my night time or vice versa so please try and provide a url otherwise in 9 to 10 hours or more your issue has been buried in a backlog .i really try to help everyone but i cant remember all the urls even if you contacted me before .

4.what providing a url and setup password allows me to do is check for any errors biggest one I find is timezone incorrectly added …listing example of america timezones http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.america.php

so the timezone for Sau Paulo is America/Sao_Paulo so in the settings it would be America/Sao_Paulo

5.weatherflow station ID please provide it allows me to test your credentials of Air and sky locally …ps always make sure your weather station is set to public.

6.with a url i also can check for server errors though i cant directly fix those but often i can spot them and try and advise you on possible solutions.

7.local servers are too problematic too many different configurations to spot the common cause so some experience from your side is going to be necessary .

so please you help me with some basic info ill help you the best I can in a timely manner.

Thanks mate for your almost immediate help when I needed it, it has been so long since I played with anything on my own server due to other commitments/interests. I saw the basic error that was my oversight immediately-with your help. I am just so impressed by the range of data sources that you have put together here, and the aesthetic quality.
There is a 20 L batch of Aussie IPA in the fermenter :):beers:
btw link to the result - (using WF API template)

Just be aware that when I posted this it was after midnight local time so the day has reset and current UV/ etc will not be reported till approx 0600 EADT , also it is dead calm here , but all good

as noted elsewhere some changes have occurred to the api output by the looks of it and template now needs to be rewriiten to accommodate those changes . therefore download will remain offline till i can work out all the possible combinations of metric, non metric hopefully it wont be a major rewrite . this is possibly also affecting the weatherflow combination with meteobridge version as im getting reports of rain in cm .

this was anticipated a while ago api changes would occur in the near future . i am just hoping i am reading it all, wrong in the hope i dont have to rewrite it … if so it will be a few weeks unless i stumble across a quick and easy solution…brian

I’m pleased to tell you that my problem w/ celsius vs fahrenheit in the forecast fixed itself.

Brian, I went through this months ago and I will be happy to share with you. I echoed what WeatherFlow is doing in the phone and web applications.

Same sentiments here Brian, really sad to hear about the lightning damage as well. It sure is an active area, before I even joined WF forum I often saw your area on blitzortung and it really stood out many times on the global map. Best wishes mate.

firstly thank you and in short the lightning strike was quite bad , the building shook, alarms all over the area all went off .it was not your common strike it was very low level with a massive deafening clap sound not your usual rumble .needless to say my main weather station outdoor ISS which is not connected to the electrical line its battery solar powered was fried ,when i inspected it next day opening up the ISS a burnt smell came out . I managed to repair it however the wind direction connector on the board was fried completely beyond on repair. The internal CR2 battery was melted at the top and showed leaked battery fluid…

I also lost my development local server built on old mid 2010 mac mini and its WD external storage 2TB and just to throw insult to this my iPad Air 2 has died ! .numerous apartments below us also lost numerous electrical items. As much i love viewing storms that was my first experience of extreme close proximity and loss of hearing for a short period thats how loud it was !..

My weatherflow Air also locked up required a removal of batteries and the battery compartment had water in it i didnt notice until next morning as we had some 48mm of rain in 5 hours upto when my main station failed …

so under those conditions make sure your air is out of the rain …they were not normal rain conditions periodically heavy flash flood combined with long periods of heavy steady rainfall.

as some of you noted on my website i have taken a final decision to halt any further development of template for all versions .additional versions will be hosted by individuals and it is entirely up to those individuals how far they get involved other than hosting a download… in respect of weatherflow hardware it is supported via the meteobridge version which is the only supported version available via my website … all others are not available via my website…meteobridge supports weatherflow hardware Air and Sky and it does not require any changes to deal with metrics, non metrics and so on it is always the same for every user in terms uploading data the template then converts to your personal preferences of non metric, metric knots,ms,mph,km/h ,inches,mm,hpa, inhg,mb and so on …

further info is here https://weather34.com/homeweatherstation/ …and thank you for the offer @GaryFunk but 4 years on I’ve simply had enough and throw in the inconveniences of events in recent months i.e fire, flooding and now this and a upcoming move i think I have enough to concentrate on and would rather use my time more efficiently …and remember i don’t do this to make money or a business its just a hobby and a overwhelming demand for support kills the enthusiasm …

my advice to anyone contemplating to offer a website template as a free hobbyist idea to cater for an array of hardware not just one , support software think ahead because if you experience popularity you may start to think different as it becomes incredibly overwhelming at times . supporting just one piece of hardware preferably what you own is relatively calm and manageable but when you venture beyond on your own resources it becomes a challenge …

all the time it remains a hobby its fun and challenging the day it starts to become something else the fun has gone…brian

it began like this in a taffic jam back of a taxi January 2015 …and my first prototype using wunderground

I’m sure many will feel the same - i just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work. Its been an amazing template, indeed its probably the best out there. Free software gets little note for the hard work it takes.

Well done - there is a community who i am sure would get everything back up and running if that helps.

A brilliant job and the template will be missed, thanks again for all the time spent coding it,

Andy

Absolutely agree with that statement. If we can support you in any way (also financially) to get up running again, we will… there are some ways that we can donate for you and I would happy do so (unfortunately I don’t know how to setup this). I also ask you several times for help, now I feel sorry that it got too much for you. Anyway I can help, please let me know.

thanks for the kind offers its not about money never has been it is has been developed on a local server using old unused hardware i.e old mid mac mini 2010 or a $90 a year hosted server which i also use for other projects i do work for and get paid a annual fee but thats not a hobby and finally I managed to resource another developer to take over in November.

never in 4 years did i ever ask for donations or accept donations, trust me there were many, I’m a strong believer having worked and managed in retail in a specialist market many years ago the moment you take the money there is an expectation of support, commitment regardless of any conversation of no support or warranty and thats not something i would commit myself too a hobbyist community…
for me its all about personal time and upcoming commitments of house move . focusing on one version is manageable because i have full access to the hardware and when settled I will focus on meteobridge only (remember meteobridge is fully compatible with weatherflow hardware and offers far more interesting flexible ways of collecting data). i have a new Davis VP2 to be collected in October from the UK , david sent me a new weatherflow KIT this month its currently in customs here in istanbul , boris at smartbedded sent me a new Meteobridge Nano datalogger to develop with alongside the VP2 so on the hardware front its not a issue its just personal time and for last two years I wanted to drop all versions other than meteobridge , i have tried to maintain those but there simply is not time or the resources to focus all versions .

cumulus and meteobridge are almost an identical structure in there outputs, weather display is totally different and myself not being experienced enough its totally dependant on user input , the weatherflow API version is good and is free but it doesn’t offer the more in depth options seen in the meteobridge output… and weewx that is 100% developed by another user i just make that one look pretty… so going forth meteobridge is the only version i will work on in the future as that is the hardware I have at my disposal realtime…

your words are very kind and acknowledged … brian

Thats clear Brian, well I know what too ask the coming holidays , meteobridge
Take care !

ron i dont think you will regret it , its a very self sufficient little hub that extends the capability of weatherflow hardware and many other brands of hardware its not tied to just one and the developer boris is active in development .
he took a bit of grief when he introduced 2 year upgrade fees but he was smart and simply created a development fund for his new Nano product without that upgrade fee it probably would never have happened .however a lot end users didnt see that coming a lot of users had seen it has money in the pocket profit…

I will have a spare meteobridge come end of october has i plan to use the newer Nano . I am quite happy to give it to you for free however you would need to purchase a licence for the software already installed on it as it licensed to myself its easy to do just a contact with boris would steer you in the right direction… or simply buy a ready made hub with software installed I know there is a supplier in holland i cant remember there name but i recall a few years the owner contacting me for a branded version of the template at the time so he could pre install it for his customer base if they purchased a hosting from themselves…

so its a genuine offer if all goes to plan however as above you can simply buy one direct …
