Starting last night and still happening this morning, I’m getting an Alexa statement that it can’t access the “Weather Flow tempest skill right now.”
Meanwhile I am getting the correct readings from Tempest on my computer.
Anyone use the skill and have you run into this?
I have the same issue with the Alexa Skill. I noticed it this morning.
I’m having the same problem and it started on the June 12.
Alexa says, sorry, I’m having trouble accessing your weather flow tempest skill right now now.
I’ve enabled public data on the Tempest app.
I’ve revoked and re-enable the alexa integration.
I’ve rebooted the router.
It’s still broke, but I can enable tempest on a device and then it will respond, but it only responds once.
Has anyone tried opening a ticket with WF-T support about this yet? Three reports of Alexa problems makes me think that something is wrong on the back-end WF-T servers…
I am having the same issue. It started last week around the 11th or 12th.
The command word “Ask Tempest for the temperature” works, however if Alexa allows you to upgrade to the “Early access Alexa+” (it’s being rolled out in waves) Tempest or Weatherflow commands are not working for me yet. I still need to try a few things yet. Alexa says that Alexa+ is not complete yet.
I found two weatherflow tempest skills configured in my alexa app.
One was weatherflow tempest, the other was tempest.
I disabled weatherflow tempest and could not configure it again. I guess weatherflow tempest is gone.
I enabled tempest and it worked, but now I have to ask alexa this.
Alexa, ask tempest for my report instead of, alexa, ask weatherflow for the report.
If you ask tempest for the report, you get alexa weather.
ask tempest for the temperature and then ask tempest for the weather.
tempest didn’t now my location when I asked tempest for the weather.
Maybe there is some kink of learning that alex has to do before she’ll give you what you want.
but now it seems to be working.
I had to do this on all the alexa devices.
I checked my skills and now have it working again by asking Tempest for my report.

I have to be frank. I can’t remember how to see MY INSTALLED SKILLS. I found it the other day when my friend accidentally created a skill (routine?) that gave both the weather and traffic - neither of use generally care about traffic (retirement is nice other than the old age which accompanies it).
Well, TEMPEST, a new skill I discovered the other day but did not follow through on is now INSTALLED and WORKING. I simply installed it, it asked for my log in (email and password for Tempest) then I asked “Alexa ask tempest the weather” and it worked.
I always did feel that “Ask WEATHER Flow the WEATHER” was a bit redundant. But now I really should find where the older skill is stored and delete it just to keep things tidy .

Have you tried the early access to Alexa Plus? I find that tempest does not work !
I really don’t know anything about Alexa Plus. I quickly asked Alexa about it. Not sure if runs on my various Alexa devices.
Steve I knew nothing about it until I received an email explaining it with a link. It did say it was rolling out in waves so you might see it soon. I really like it but it doesn’t work with “Weatherflow” or “Tempest” command. But I wonder if Tempest engineers are responsible for a fix. Alexa + will be free to Prime members. Anyone else aware about this?
What I read is that a NON-prime member would supposedly pay more monthly for “Alexa +” than an ordinary prime membership - which is strange. I guess they want folks signing up for prime.
I’m just happy Tempest works again, at the moment.
So the original “WeatherFlow Tempest” skill is now hidden in the skill store since we are trying to push users to download the “Tempest” skill. There was an issue with the original skill recently though. If anyone here who still has the “WeatherFlow Tempest” skill still downloaded could you check to see if it is working again? We hopefully have fixed it. If it is not, I would recommend deleting the “WeatherFlow Tempest” skill and downloading the new “Tempest” skill.
The original and the new both work now. NOT using Alexa Plus.
Is there a difference between the two skills? The REPORT sounds the same.
Any chance of incorporating Purple Air readings?
Currently there is no difference between the old and the new except the incorporation of widgets and rebranding to use “Tempest”. And currently we only support getting data from our own stations.

You now have to say “Alexa, ask Tempest for a report” I had to disable\reenable the skill to get it to work again.
