Or you could install weewx on a pi and use rapidfire to WU. The answer is always weewx
Thanks for the Weewx suggestion. I do use Weewx for an Acurite weather stataion to pull weather data from the unit and forward the same to Weather Underground. I see a few issues with my Weewx installation, firstly, you need a dedicated hardware working 24/7 to run Weewx (either a PC or a Pi), while the AppScript Forwarder doesn’t require any additional hardware, it runs from Google server 24/7. Additionally, I found some issues with the way Weewx was sending data to Weather Underground. For example, when I turn on Rapid Fire update I see data gaps in the pressure graph (see picture below), also while reporting rain data, the rainfall quantum is updated every five minutes. Further, Weewx gives one hour average rain rate and not instant rain rates. I couldn’t do much more with Weewx as I am not a software person. Just managed to modify the “weewx.conf” file to instruct Weewx to send data every 90 seconds to Weather Undergroud.
The latest version of AppScript Forwarder on the other hand, addresses most of the flaws that I noticed with Weewx. Though a Rapid Fire update to Weather Underground from AppScript Forwarder would be a nice to have feature, I am okay with the current one minute update interval. I am not sure whether Leo (@xd1936) has looked into Rapid Fire updates, but I guess this could be due to limitations with the WeatherFlow API.
I’d love to support sending off RapidFire, but unfortunately, the Apps Script triggers system (automating running things) only lets you fire as frequently as every minute. Anything more frequent would require a hack or an alternative platform/tool.
Using Station Forwarder to send data from Tempest to PWSweather. Script is running without errors; however, no observations are appearing in dashboard. PWSwweather says the station is active and has passed QC. Does anyone have any idea why my observations are not appearing?
Some receivers might take a couple of days to show your weather station data online, this may be due to QC issues. If your station has been running for more than two days and still not reflected in PWS then try to stop the script and restart it again. This might help.
