Sky after 8 months of use in all weather conditions

Did a little maintenance today on my Sky unit.
Love the easy cleaning.
I was amazed how nice it still looked after 8 months.

Are those photos taken before or after maintanance ?
What did you do for ā€œmaintenanceā€ ?

These pictures where taken after some cleaning.
Should have taken a picture before. But only thing I did was taking the dirt of with a damp cloth.
Especially the UV and light sensor.

I was also surprised to see how nice the battery compartment was. It looks brand new indeed.

After a long cold winter outside, my sky looked as good as it did on day 1.

Now if only the AIR would come with a solar panel ā€¦ hmā€¦

Difficult: the Air it self shouldnā€™t be exposed to direct sunā€¦
A disposed (*) solar panel would be neededā€¦

(*) as Iā€™m not a native English speakerā€¦ is this the commen wording for something attached but mounted a (small) distance away from the main unit?

The word you are looking for is ā€˜remoteā€™ā€¦ a ā€˜remoteā€™ solar panel would be needed for the AIR.

The Air needs a solar panel with a cable to the base. Maybe a Solar Panel V2.

Butā€¦ technically, ā€˜detachedā€™ meansā€¦ not attachedā€¦ like a detached garage.
This SOL/SPA for AIR would ā€˜haveā€™ to be attached somehow.

Thinking of making it make sense to non-native english speakers. :wink:

Not necessarily detached. Just a solar shield to put over the Air, and the solar unit on the outside of the shield, much like Davis does.

I perform a cleaning maintenance every month on my SKY and it looks exactly like yours. Looking great since installation back in Aug 2018.

Just as the garage is detached, it us connected electrically. The solar panel would be detached and connected electrically.
