Did a little maintenance today on my Sky unit.
Love the easy cleaning.
I was amazed how nice it still looked after 8 months.
Here are some pictures of it after 8 months of use.
Also the UV readingd are doing great. 
Are those photos taken before or after maintanance ?
What did you do for “maintenance” ?

Should have taken a picture before. But only thing I did was taking the dirt of with a damp cloth.
Especially the UV and light sensor.
I was also surprised to see how nice the battery compartment was. It looks brand new indeed.
Really nice materials
After a long cold winter outside, my sky looked as good as it did on day 1.
Now if only the AIR would come with a solar panel … hm…
Difficult: the Air it self shouldn’t be exposed to direct sun…
A disposed (*) solar panel would be needed…
(*) as I’m not a native English speaker… is this the commen wording for something attached but mounted a (small) distance away from the main unit?
The word you are looking for is ‘remote’… a ‘remote’ solar panel would be needed for the AIR.
The Air needs a solar panel with a cable to the base. Maybe a Solar Panel V2.

I would never have used ‘remote’ in this case.
I prefer “detached.”
But… technically, ‘detached’ means… not attached… like a detached garage.
This SOL/SPA for AIR would ‘have’ to be attached somehow.
Thinking of making it make sense to non-native english speakers. 
Not necessarily detached. Just a solar shield to put over the Air, and the solar unit on the outside of the shield, much like Davis does.

I perform a cleaning maintenance every month on my SKY and it looks exactly like yours. Looking great since installation back in Aug 2018.
Just as the garage is detached, it us connected electrically. The solar panel would be detached and connected electrically.
