Tempest Complete System International Shipping Update

Yes, there is a battery backup for the hub. i think they will send them separately but they wanted to get the units out to everyone first because of the delays.

Hi Mr Merigan,
Welcome to this forum
Yes my order for Australia did not have the battery backup included and weatherflow did not mention anything. We are all assuming they will send it separately in the future.
And we were not given or sold a bird deterrent either.
In my opinion I do not need the bird deterrent. It improves false rain reports from birds but it sometimes causes inaccurate solar radiation and UV.
Rain accuracy is not important to me.
Good luck with your Tempest
cheers Ian

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the reply.
I bought the bird deterrent as I have had previous ultimeter anemometers damaged by birds, hopefully the CL will fix any problems with the UV index which is reading very low at the moment even though the solar radiation is very close to what other stations are reading in the area.
If this unit works out well we will try to order the SIM card version for flying sites around the state when they become available for Australia

Cheers
Rod

UV CL ran twice but was not applied. Think you had a few clouds passing around noon as the graph shows some dips and CL uses +/- 11 am to 2 pm to evaluate.

no sufficiently clear days available during the analysis period.

Is it possible that the spikes of the bird deterrent is causing issues with CL?
Here is a picture I took in October at 13:10 local time.

It’s only been up for a few days and since I am in the Southern Hemisphere the CL times shouldn’t have the spikes casting shadows over the sensor ie sun elevation around 80degrees at noon

Hello guys, after reading several good reviews about Tempest Weather station I’m basically waiting to purchase it but apparently there aren’t signals for upcoming international deliveries.
I see that somebody from Italy (@patrick.mussner, @disaster) already got it so I was wondering how they managed to get it.

Hello Emanuele,
all of us Europeans who already have a tempest have co-funded on Kickstarter or Indiegogo…

Yeah I got mine via Kickstarter which is way over now. I’m not sure when WeatherFlow will release it publicly to the world.

@patrick.mussner, @93ben, thanks for the reply and clarification, now I’ve got it.
OK then, I suppose that the only think I can do is sitting and waiting.

There is a round about way but it is a little expensive to do it, look up the company Reship, that’s how I got my station after the kickstarter program ended and since they weren’t shipping to Canada.

@slummer90 thanks for the tip but I think I’ll wait for the Company to start delivering abroad.

Are the Battery Backups ever going to ship / arrive? No update in over a year :frowning:

How is the delivery (to the EU) for the “Power Booster Accessory”?
Does anyone have any updated information?
Thank you.

Since it isn’t available for anyone yet, I’d guess the shipping is as good as in North America.
