which model do I have ST-00191920? Is the the Tempest 2026?
Depends when got it. . .but just looking at the Lead serial number ID . . . ST-0019 . . . I would probably guess that you got it fairly recently. . .within the past few months. Therefore it could be possible that you have one of the Newest “Tempest° '26” devices. . .fresh from the factory vs one from an earlier production date.
The OLDEST Tempest° device in my collection has a serial number of ST-00010365. . .which dates back to early 2021 !
If your Tempest° device is easily accessible. . .check the bottom to see if it looks similar to this:
The bottom of the newer devices look like image above. . .whereas the Older devices looked like this:
Open your new one up and lets see what the internals look like for the reported replaceable battery . C’mon - you know you want to do it !!!
It has been posted here before by WF-T employees that the hardware S/N’s are NOT issued sequentially or in any predictable pattern…
………. I installed it and it’s high up!! I am hoping the answer can be verified w/o have to pull out the big ladders.

THANKS!
….. yes, my 1st Tempest died early on and WeatherFlow support deemed it under warranty and sent me a replacement. Well, after 2 years that one died. WF support offered up a replacement last month and I took advantage of that, against my common sense! But I like the product. 2 failures out of 2 is not a good batting avg!
Well I am SURE HOPING they sent me the TEMPEST 2026 model. The info says that unit has imoprovements over the previous 1st gen model like bigger solar screens. The model I received, ST-00191920 didn’t look or feel much different than my 1st 2 models. But since I had to pay, I really want to make sure I didnl;t buy OLD technology! THANKS!!!
post a link to your station. . .such as: https: // tempestwx . com / station / ###### / grid . . . where ###### is Your Station’s ID so that we can look at it and monitor to determine (confirm) that it is one of the brand newest devices. Note: spaces inserted in the URL above to prevent it from Hyperlinking.
“The info says that unit has improvements over the previous 1st gen model like bigger solar screens.” . . . that May be a clue that your device is indeed a Tempest° '26 production model. . .but it would be nice for us here on this thread to help monitor.
here is the link to my “station” if this is what you mean:
It’s listed on WU also.

……. links to my “station” below.
Let me know if this is what you are asking for.
THANKS for your guidance!!!

The “Tempest” link above worked. I scrolled down to the bottom lower right. . .just above the map. . .and clicked the Online next to the green dot to bring up the Status for your station.
The FirmWare Revision (FWR) for your Hub is v332 (FWR for my old hubs are v194) and the FWR for your Tempest° device is v185. . .which indicates that you do have Latest and Greatest Tempest° Weather System. The FWR of my old Tempest° devices are v181.
Enjoy the Data Collection and Archive for your station!
….. AWESOME!!!
Thanks for teaching me something NEW and how to decipher this tech!
I look forward to better performance than my previous 2 Tempests!!!
Have a GREAT week!

I just received mine (November 2025) and the model is TH-TWD-02, and looks similar to the newer model in the post above. Here’s a picture of the underside. I assume this is the newest version.
It appears that it is a New one. . .based on: 1) It shows the Entire SERIAL Number. The “Older” models used to just state the last 4 digits of the s/n (e.g) 4240. 2) Not sure what “(NAG)” means as the suffix. 3) Just above the recycle bin symbol with the “X” thru it (meaning don’t throw away in trash or discard in a recycle bin). . . there is a symbol. The two parallel lines are an electrical symbol for battery and I assume that the R to the right of the symbol stands for “Replacable”
FYI. . .the 4 “electrical pads” at the top are for use with the PBA (Power Booster Accessory). The pad on the Left is for Positive (+) “Pogo Pin” . .and the pad on the Right is for a Negative [or Ground[ (—) “Pogo Pin.” The two inner “pogo pads” are for some sort of Communication between the Tempest° device and the PBA.
If you scan the QR code with your mobile device. . .it will show you the entire serial number 00194240.
Here is the response from T support about my question of
which unit do I have?
vague, but I’ll take his word for it, for now, b/c I don’t have time
to pull the BIG ladder out and pull this Tempest down. One thing
I can verify is the “mini-hub” that came w/Temepest does not look
like my original Tempest hub. I’ll take that as a good sign! ![]()

Yes, you have the new T26 model. The hardware version is not telling, sorry! Your system has the new mini-Hub and you purchased this in October. We started shipping new T26 systems in September during a soft-launch.
Kind Regards,

Tempest Support
I have communicated with Meteorologist Tim Nicholas for years. . .dating way back to 2016! He knows his stuff. . .both Meteorology AND the inner working of the Tempest° Weather System!
I’d suggest the model number ending in -02 might be the indicator perhaps. The number over the QR code is a Japan RF compliance identifier according to Google.
Another sure-fire Proof-Positive way to make sure you do have a “Tempest° '26” vs an older device is to look at the back side. IF the logo near the bottom looks like the one on the left image below. . .with the new " t° " engraved in it. . .then it’s definitely “Tempest° '26”. For the image on the right . .that’s the old “WeatherFlow” logo that was stamped in from 2016 to 2019.
